Well over a month ago I was delighted to be invited to a Yoga Brunch session hosted by the Complete Retreat which was set up by Suzanne White. I’ve always had a keen interest in yoga but this 90-minute brunch session made me realise how important it is to slow down, relax and focus more on well being.
Despite being involved in yoga before I’m far from experienced in the practice nonetheless, the Yoga Brunch Club is welcoming of any person of any experience which was relieving. There’s nothing worse (well, of course, there is) than feeling like the least experienced person in the room.
It’s a nice change from traditional yoga classes. You’re encouraged to socialise before and after as well as enjoying a fine homemade 3 course meal. You’re left feeling replenished, relaxed, well fed and healthy afterwards.

The entire session lasts around 3 hours consisting of 90 minutes of yoga and the rest of the time spent socialising over a 3-course vegan brunch. On this occasion the brunch menu was;
- Starter – Golden Beetroot soup and Sourdough Bread
- Main Course – BBQ Jackfruit on a Rainbow Salad with Cabbage, Avocado, Tomato, Cucumber and Yellow Peppers
- Dessert – Homemad Cacao nutty granola with chai berry compote and creamy yogurt
- Drinks – Pear and Ginger Kombucha and Energising Teas by Bohea Teas

The complete retreat offers a range of experiences from brunch/supper clubs to Pilates and Well-Being Retreats that last a couple of days. Everything you need to know is here > https://www.thecompleteretreat.co.uk/events-1
