The Pie Society: Home Away From Home

Processed with VSCO with c8 presetI have been living in Shanghai for over 2 months now and I’ve found that it’s a lot easier to go out for food that are of cuisines other than Chinese or cook at home.  It’s not because that I’m not proficient enough in the language to order the food from the menu but it’s not truly knowing what you’re eating, in particular food with meat in it.

One of my favourite places that I have been spending a lot of time in recently is a place called The Pie Society which specialises in English food.  Mainly pies and food generally eaten for breakfast.

The prices are similar to that of an English Café which is reasonable and understandable.  This place attracts a lot English people as well people from other countries and you know it’s good if natives are going there.

The general quality and atmosphere is always comforting and relaxing.  It is nice having  a place like this so far from home.
