Guacamole. Guacamole. Guacamole. That is all that has been on my brain in the last few days. There have only been a few times I have had guacamole and every time I have been in a restaurant, so I thought I should try making my own for once, see how it turns out. Now I think the only way to have guacamole is homemade.
You will need:
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 lemon
- Half a large tomato
- Half a red onion
- Salt
- Pepper
- Mixed Herbs
- Olive Oil
- Blender
Peel avocado and put contents into a bowl, then smooth out with a fork.
- Chop the tomato into small cubes, the red onion into a thin and small slices and put them in the bowl with the crushed avocado.
- Crush the garlic cloves with a garlic press or with the heel of your hand.
- Add one teaspoon of olive oil and mix with a spoon.
- Put all of the contents just used into a blender and blend until you have your desired consistency.
- Empty contents from the blender back in to the bowl.
- Add salt, pepper and mixed herbs to your blended guacamole and mix thoroughly with a spoon.
- Squeeze a bit a lemon on top and mix again.
- Enjoy your guacamole with some tortillas, in a taco or in a burrito.
